H9 Gen 2 combines the full legacy of the original H9 with the expanded creative range of the H90. It includes the full 74-algorithm lineup found in the H90, including all 52 original H9 Max algorithms, spanning delay, reverb, pitch, granular, vocal FX, looping, and much more. For longtime H9 users, it’s everything you love, now expanded. For new players, it’s the most direct path into Eventide’s flagship effects platform.
Built on the same modern ARM processing as the H90 and H9000, H9 delivers higher-fidelity sound, improved overall performance, and true spillover on preset changes for seamless transitions. Proprietary Spectral Instantaneous Frequency Tracking (SIFT) tech produces pristine polyphonic pitch shifting and powers algorithms such as Polysynth, Polyphony, Polyflex, and Prism Shift.
H9 Harmonizer is designed to make great sounds easier to access. A larger 2.5" display, updated controls, and a simplified interface make navigation faster and more intuitive than the original H9, while preserving the immediacy players expect from a compact pedal format.
Its workflow is built around three core modes: Select Mode, Bank Mode, and Perform Mode. Together, they create a faster, more performance-ready experience for browsing presets, organizing sounds for live use, and controlling effects in real time. With HotSwitch and HotKnob macro control, plus flexible footswitch behavior, H9 feels less like a menu-driven processor and more like an actual instrument.
H9 supports one algorithm at a time, featuring flexible I/O and global or preset-specific settings. The various routing options make it easy to slot into pedalboards, amp loops, hybrid rigs, and studio setups.
