On March 3, Meyer Sound released Nebra 2, a major software upgrade that transforms the platform into the central command center for its integrated ecosystem. A free application, Nebra 2 combines a redesigned interface with expanded tools, evolving the legacy Compass platform with a scalable solution built for modern audio workflows. “Nebra 2 is a direct result of listening to how users want to work - fast, flexible, and with fewer roadblocks,” says Meyer Sound’s Senior Director of Product Management, Andy Davies. “It’s the only software of its kind that brings connection, control, and monitoring into one seamless experience.”
Nebra 2 introduces full processor control for Galileo GALAXY and GEN-1 technology for networked loudspeakers, giving users streamlined access to EQ, level, delay, and phase - now housed alongside connection and monitoring tools in one interface. This unified workflow lets users configure, optimize, and oversee entire systems without switching between applications. “You can connect devices, control processors, and monitor performance all in one app,” says Brian Smith, Meyer Sound’s Product Manager, Digital Systems. “For the first time, you don’t need to jump between tools or tabs. It just works the way people expect software to work in 2026.”
Nebra 2 supports both small and large-scale systems - from compact touring setups to global stadium deployments. Tagging, search, and filtering tools simplify organization and navigation, even in the largest systems. In addition to GALAXY processors, Nebra 2 integrates with the new GEN-1–equipped loudspeakers with built-in processing, as well as MEP and RMS loudspeakers, MPS power supplies, and other Milan-certified products. This leap forward for the Meyer Sound ecosystem now supports management of multiple processors and loudspeakers and a variety of inputs and protocols, including analog audio, AES67, and Milan AVB.
A green checkmark in the corner of the application distills real-time system health into a single visual cue, drawing from data across all connected devices - whether it’s a limiter, temperature sensor, or AVB stream monitor. In fast-paced live environments, the icon offers instant confidence and replaces cluttered dashboards with clear, actionable feedback, reinforcing Nebra’s evolution into a centralized, intuitive environment for managing complex systems in high-intensity live scenarios. Show Mode lets users lock critical control points during performances, helping prevent accidental changes in live scenarios. Additional features include expanded clock management and snapshot support.
Meyer Sound’s Compass control software will continue to receive support for the time being, but all future development will focus on expanding Nebra’s capabilities. Nebra reflects a broader evolution in Meyer Sound’s approach to software—moving from a collection of individual tools toward a connected and streamlined software environment. Future updates will build on this foundation, with new capabilities designed to simplify system design, deployment, and operation. As Meyer Sound’s product ecosystem grows, Nebra will serve as the central interface connecting it all.
