How to resolve AdBlock issue? Visions of Sound Award 2025 Award Ceremony
The decisions have been made. The jury members of this year's Visions of Sound Awards (pictured above) met on August 22 at River Studios in Cologne to select the winners from among 37 nominated titles in 14 categories from the releases of 2024. All nominated titles can be found on the website below.
The jury consisted of Fritz Fey, sound engineer and editor-in-chief of Studio Magazine, who has been working as a specialist planner for room acoustics since the mid-1980s, and Ralf Kemper, owner and operator of River Studios in Cologne, one of the top addresses for immersive mixing. The jury was completed by Sam Donalies, sound engineer for Dolby Atmos mixes at River Studios, and Christoph Diekmann, initiator of Visions of Sound, who is also active as a musician and music producer. The criteria for the award were transparency and dynamics, as well as the creativity and spatial implementation of the mixes.
The 2025 awards ceremony will take place for the first time during the renowned Reeperbahn Festival. The winners will be announced on September 18, 2025, at the exclusive “Dolby Networking Club.”
Christoph Diekmann, managing director of AREA Entertainment and founder of the Visions of Sound Awards, explains: "Once again, there were some great mixes in the running, and I believe the winning titles show how this new dimension of listening has developed. More and more mixes are appearing, and Blu-ray as a home entertainment medium offers fans of multi-channel sound studio quality for their living rooms. Over the past three years, a growth market with enormous potential has emerged here. Studios and labels worldwide are recognizing the artistic and commercial possibilities of Dolby Atmos. These awards not only recognize technical excellence, but also the vision of bringing music to life in completely new dimensions."
