Accessories for Bodypack Transmitters and In-Ear Monitoring Receivers
Author and Photos: Peter Kaminski
The Italian manufacturer Viviana offers an extensive range of accessories for wireless transmitters and in-ear receivers. We would like to present and review a selection of these here.
RF Saver
First up is a product I’ve been looking for for a long time: the “RF Saver.” Bodypack transmitters - and therefore their antennas - are typically worn to the body very closely. The human body consists of 60% water. When the antenna comes very close to the body, the resonance frequency and the base impedance change significantly. A high-frequency short circuit can also occur, manifesting as a loss of connection.
The RF Saver is made of flexible plastic and is attached to the antenna. To secure the antenna, an additional plastic piece is inserted on the side. This ensures a minimum clearance, which significantly reduces extreme impedance changes or the likelihood of an RF short circuit. A small solution with a big impact. The RF Saver is available in the following colors: black, white, and beige.
Mounts for pocket transmitters and in-ear receivers
Viviana offers a wide range of specialized mounts for pocket transmitters designed for a variety of instruments and applications. These are all made of very soft textile material (OEKO-TEX) and feature Velcro fasteners for attachment or securing. I think this mounting system is better than the leather pouches that are available. With those, you need a different pouch for every transmitter size. Viviana’s solution, on the other hand, fits all standard transmitter pouches and is also more discreet.
Here is an example (see image above) of a solution for attaching an in-ear receiver to a typical drummer’s stool, consisting of a pouch for the transmitter and a fabric strap.
There is also a specific solution for electric guitar and bass for permanent or temporary attachment to the strap. A strap for securing the connection cable is also included.
In addition, there are mounting kits for the trumpet, saxophone, and trombone.

The soft surface is particularly beneficial here, because no one wants to damage their instrument. Thanks to the extremely soft materials, this is definitely prevented.

Additional Velcro straps for securing cables are included for the trombone.

You need to choose the attachment position carefully so that the slide isn't blocked.
Various straps are also available for attaching a bodypack transmitter to the body. Pictured here, for example, is a hip belt. A strap for securing the cable is included.
In addition to this strap, others are available for attachment to the chest, ankle, thigh, or calf, in various sizes and colors (black, brown, beige, white), as well as for different transmitter sizes and with double pouches. These highly customizable solutions are certainly of particular interest to the theater and film industries.
Additionally, individual straps - for example, for securing cables - are available in various colors (black, beige, white).
Microphone Accessories
To attach miniature microphones or cables directly to the skin, Viviana offers Moleskin Strips in packs of 30 in beige, black, white, or assorted colors. The product is also available on a roll (16 x 100cm). It adheres very reliably to the skin but can also be easily removed without leaving any residue.
Foam (see image on the left) and fur windshields (see image on the right) for miniature microphones are also available in various colors, shapes, and sizes.
Pouches
In addition, there are pouches and bags available in various colors and sizes.
Pictured here is a small fold-out pouch with three compartments inside. Larger versions with eight compartments are also available, as well as a pouch with eight compartments.
Practical Usage and Conclusion
The product range is extremely versatile, and many items can be further customized with your own logo upon request. The website is a real treasure trove for wireless professionals. The products are very practical, and we can attest to their high quality. The manufacturer’s website features various videos explaining the handling of specific products. At the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, both the RF Saver on the body packs and the waist straps were used for the show.
We’d also like to mention a few prices here. The bags, for example, cost around 20 to 35 euros, the mount for bag transmitters on a guitar strap just over 40 euros, and the waist belt, depending on the model, between approximately 45 and 50 euros. So, in terms of price, the products are within a normal range, as the product quality is undoubtedly high.
The products are available from selected retailers, and the full range is also available in the manufacturer’s online store.
