KLOTZ AIS MIS 19" Transformer Splitters

KLOTZ AIS MS64XFRFMT

The 19" stageboxes of the KLOTZ AIS Modular Interface System (MIS) series have been specifically developed for professional audio applications in live and touring environments. They combine outstanding signal quality and flexible configuration options with high reliability and mechanical durability. The picture above shows the MS64XFRFMT.

With the new MIS 19" Transformer Splitters, KLOTZ AIS is expanding the series with two high-quality solutions for signal distribution: a 1:1+2 and a 1:2+2 splitter. Like all KLOTZ AIS stageboxes, the new models have been designed from the ground up for the rigours of life on the road. The rugged, powder-coated aluminium housing provides reliable protection in everyday use and makes the splitters ideally suited to demanding touring applications.

Depending on the configuration, up to 64 XLR input sockets with gold-plated contacts are available, allowing even extensive setups to be organised efficiently. Carefully selected transformers provide clean galvanic isolation at the SPLIT outputs on the rear panel and reliably prevent ground loops. With a distortion level of less than 1% at input levels of up to +6 dBu, the splitters ensure consistently high signal quality. A DIRECT output is also located on the rear panel, passing the input signal without a transformer so that 48V phantom power is maintained.

Both the SPLIT and DIRECT outputs use 150p RMP connectors, which are compatible with connectors based on the MIL-C-5015 standard, including LK, Tourline and CIRLK. Clear labelling of all inputs and outputs allows channels to be identified quickly and supports efficient, error-free setup and teardown.

Two different models are available to suit different system configurations: The MS_XFRFMT, configured as a 1:1+2 Transformer Split, features four additional parallel RMP inputs on the front panel, allowing direct integration of multichannel stagebox systems. The MS_XFRMT is configured as a 1:2+2 Transformer Split and provides expanded signal distribution for applications requiring additional isolated signal paths. Both versions are available in 48- or 64-channel configurations.

All complete MIS systems are pre-assembled by KLOTZ AIS at its facility in Vilchband/Wittighausen, Germany, and undergo thorough quality testing before delivery. With the new Transformer Splitters, KLOTZ AIS once again relies on Made in Germany manufacturing quality – ensuring reliable performance on stages and in professional productions worldwide.
