Tascam Q-SYS Control Compatibility

Tascam Q SYS

Tascam releases a Verified Plugin for Q-SYS which enables select Tascam products to be integrated more closely with Q-SYS-based AV and broadcast systems. Built for the “Q-SYS Full Stack AV” platform and verified by Q-SYS, the new plug-in is available for four of the most popular installation products from Tascam – the SS-CDR250N, SS-R250N, MP-800UDAB and the CD-400UDAB – and allows integrators and operators to remotely control the following functions:

All models:

  • Playback source selection
  • Transport control (play, stop, pause, skip, fast forward, rewind, repeat)
  • Folder and file selection
  • Time display (elapsed and remaining time)

For the SS-CDR250N and SS-R250N models, the following additional recording functions can be controlled:

  • Input source selection for recording
  • Start/stop recording
  • File renaming
  • Automatic file upload via FTP
  • Automatic deletion of uploaded files

The official Tascam plug-in is now available in Q-SYS Library. An optional Tascam IF-E100 Ethernet card is required for the MP-800UDAB and CD-400UDAB. For SS-CDR250N and SS-R250N, firmware version 2.15 or later is required.
