Electro-Voice EVF & EVH Series

Electro-Voice presents the next generation of the EVF and EVH point-source loudspeakers, introducing two comprehensively redesigned series for high-performance installed sound applications. First launched in 2008, the front-loaded EVF Series and the horn-loaded EVH Series have become two of the most widely installed Electro-Voice point-source solutions with over 50,000 units in service worldwide. They are trusted in thousands of venues across stadiums, arenas, performing arts centers, theaters, houses of worship, multi-purpose venues, and more. Based on nearly two decades of real-world customer feedback, Electro-Voice engineers have fundamentally reworked both series. While the cabinet dimensions remain unchanged to ensure full compatibility with existing designs and mounting hardware, everything inside the enclosure has been redesigned from the ground up. The result is a new generation of four new loudspeaker models offering higher acoustic output, improved pattern control, and a simpler model selection process, all at a more accessible price point.
The EVF and EVH Series components are all brand new, engineered from the ground up. Each model features newly developed Electro-Voice transducers, including the next-generation ND2-EVO high-performance 2-inch compression driver, as well as model-specific DSCA low-frequency drivers. A new low-loss crossover forms the foundation for higher efficiency and more consistent performance across the entire frequency range.
Building on the legacy of Electro-Voice’s Constant Directivity technology, new Infinite Directivity HF waveguides provide the most uniform pattern control Electro-Voice has ever achieved in this class. Improved coverage control simplifies the design process while delivering smoother coverage and greater consistency. All models benefit from slightly lower tuning and increased woofer excursion capability, resulting in more usable full-range output and increased low-frequency headroom.
All new EVF and EVH Series models are offered in black and white finishes and in indoor and outdoor versions. The EVF Series is available in five coverage patterns: 60°x40°, 60°x60°, 90°x50°, 90°x90° and 120°x60°. The EVH Series also comprises five different coverage patterns: 40°x30°, 60°x40°, 60°x60°, 90°x50° and 90°x90°. Both series are ideally matched to the IX Series power amplifiers from Dynacord, Electro-Voice’s sibling brand. When powered by IX Series amplifiers, the loudspeakers benefit from perfectly matched peak voltage handling for maximum output levels. IX amplifiers’ superior cost-per-channel performance also makes it easier than ever to deploy EVF or EVH in fully bi-amplified configurations for performance without compromise. For maximum flexibility, EVF and EVH G2 are also compatible with the full range of Dynacord DSP amplifiers and the new V Series Zone Audio Platform.
Mechanical construction and environmental protection have been significantly enhanced across both product lines. All models feature full-width internal metal bracing, increasing rigidity and long-term safety even in demanding outdoor installations. The new loudspeaker models are fully front-serviceable for simplified maintenance, their grilles provide increased stiffness and improved resistance when exposed to moisture. A new paint process offers Electro-Voice’s best-ever UV resistance in both black and white versions. Full-coverage weatherization treatment results in robust moisture rejection at a substantial cost reduction for fully weatherized (FW) models compared to the previous generation.
Installer experience has also been refined throughout. Redesigned input panels feature removable connectors, integrated NL4 connector, and a high-current passive/bi-amp switch. Gland-nut covers are now included as standard on all models. Expanded omni-mounting options improve flexibility across a wide range of applications, supporting both Electro-Voice accessories and third-party mounting solutions.
The new EVF Series lineup comprises three models: the EVF-12 and EVF-15 two-way front-loaded loudspeakers, and the EVF-215S dual 15-inch subwoofer. The two-way models deliver higher maximum SPL than most of the first generation models, improved low-frequency output and enhanced acoustic consistency compared to their predecessors. Newly developed crossover and transducer designs improve clarity and definition while ensuring closer sonic matching between the EVF-12 and EVF-15.
The EVF-12 introduces an improved 120x60 degrees horn pattern, expanding coverage flexibility for applications demanding uniform performance across a wide area. Both full-range models now support a wider range of mounting solutions, including compatibility with the EVC-WB wall bracket and common omni-mount and multi-mount systems.
The EVF-215S subwoofer benefits from new DSCA-family woofers and processing presets that deliver up to 3 dB more output at 40 Hz compared to the existing generation. Larger triangular ports improve airflow and reduce turbulence at high output levels. A dual-mode impedance switch allows operation in either single 4-ohm or dual 8-ohm configurations, increasing flexibility for system design and amplifier channel allocation.
The next-generation EVH Series is represented by the EVH-15, a horn-loaded two-way loudspeaker designed for applications requiring precise pattern control and high output over longer throw distances. Compared to the previous generation, the EVH-15 delivers increased maximum SPL on most models, improved low-frequency performance, and significantly enhanced directivity consistency. Updated mounting and installation options further simplify deployment. Combined with the redesigned acoustic components and next-generation Hybrid- FIR processing, the EVH-15 provides a powerful solution for controlled coverage in acoustically challenging environments.
The new EVF and EVH Series loudspeakers will be available globally starting in Spring 2026.
