NoiseWorks VoiceAssist

Noiseworks Audio, creators of the acclaimed DynAssist plug-in, today announced the release of VoiceAssist, a powerful new AI-assisted vocal and dialogue tool that builds on what audio professionals value most about DynAssist and significantly expands the workflow. Designed to reduce the time required for voice cleanup while keeping engineers fully in control of the final result, VoiceAssist combines six intelligent voice-focused processes into a single ARA-enabled environment. The result is a faster, more integrated approach to vocal and dialogue editing.

Developed with input from leading mix engineers and post-production professionals, VoiceAssist allows users to edit and refine voice recordings directly inside their DAW, or in standalone, applying advanced processing only where needed and with full transparency.

At the core of VoiceAssist are six dedicated processing sections:

  • Clean: AI-driven denoising, dereverberation, and frequency repair to remove unwanted noise while restoring lost detail.
  • Lowend: Low-frequency recovery, resonance reduction, and flexible low-cut filtering for clearer, more controlled vocals.
  • Gate: Intelligent voice-aware gating that detects pauses without clipping words or syllables.
  • Dynamics: Advanced volume riding and loudness matching for natural, consistent vocal levels.
  • Breath: Transparent breath detection and reduction that preserves realism.
  • Sibilance: Precise control of harsh consonants without dulling the overall tone.

VoiceAssist is available as an ARA plug-in and as a standalone application, making it suitable for music production, dialogue editing, podcasting, audiobooks, and fast-turnaround post-production workflows. ARA integration enables instant analysis of audio clips directly within supported DAWs, including Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One, and Reaper. Unlike traditional voice cleanup tools, VoiceAssist is designed to assist rather than replace the engineer. Each process can be adjusted independently, with editable regions and clear visual feedback, allowing users to retain full control over how much processing is applied.

Early users include Grammy Award-winning mixers, producers, and post-production engineers working at the highest professional level. Rik Simpson, whose credits include Coldplay, describes VoiceAssist as “really bloody good,” highlighting the transparency of the processing, particularly the de-essing, dynamic riding, and resonance suppression. Darrell Thorp, producer and engineer known for his work with Beck, Foo Fighters, and Poppy, describes VoiceAssist as a tool that “simply works,” noting that only a few adjustments are needed to achieve clean, usable vocal tracks. Grammy Award-winning mixer Cameron Craig, whose credits include Adele and Grace Jones, describes VoiceAssist as a solution that consistently turns potential problem recordings into clean, balanced, workable tracks with minimal effort.

VoiceAssist supports AU, VST, and AAX formats on macOS and Windows, with licensing available via iLok or the NoiseWorks licensing system. A fully functional trial version is available. In standalone mode, audio and MIDI automation can be exported.

VoiceAssist will be available from January 14, 2026 for the introductory price of $199 – a discount of 33% off the regular price of $299. This offer ends on February 3rd 2025. DynAssist users are eligible for a special upgrade price. The regular upgrade price is $149, but during the intro period, it will be available for just $99 - also ending on February 3rd 2025.
