beyerdynamic & Infinity Studio Partnership

Snow-capped peaks and an alpine panorama stretching as far as the eye can see. Very few people would associate this backdrop with music production. In Sölden, Austria, however, this bold vision is about to become a reality: at 2,600 metres above sea level, the Infinity Studio – Europe’s highest-altitude recording studio – is taking shape. beyerdynamic, as the exclusive headphone partner, is actively contributing to the realisation of this ambitious project.
It is no coincidence that beyerdynamic is involved in this ambitious project. The Heilbronn-based audio specialist has always seen itself as an enabler, bringing the power of music to life beyond its products. A perfect example of this can currently be seen at the Schwarzkogel in Sölden, Austria. Together with Wilderness Studios, beyerdynamic has created a space where creative professionals can find the ideal conditions for music production, listening sessions and songwriting retreats.
In addition to a spacious recording studio, the complex comprises a stylish living space and a gaming area where guests can enjoy the unique mountain panorama through the large windows. Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the vastness of the Tyrolean Alps, allowing them to work with a clear mind. A total of 15 people can work together here.
From an architectural point of view, the Infinity Studio also breaks new ground: to adapt to the topography of its high-alpine setting, the building is based on a modular design that can be repositioned seasonally – a concept developed specifically for this purpose. The seven room modules come together to form a striking, two-storey structure. The venue opens out towards the mountains and features a 150-square-metre roof terrace with space for up to 100 guests.
Inside, bespoke acoustics, structural sound decoupling and high-end audio technology provide the foundation for professional recordings and productions. The entire studio is equipped with DT-series studio headphones, which set the global standard for professional music production. beyerdynamic has also designed a small gaming area where artists can take a gaming break between recording and writing sessions using the brand’s gaming headsets. “We want to bring our audio expertise to places where people work creatively, share ideas, and find new inspiration,” explains Andreas Rapp, Managing Director of beyerdynamic. “Together with Wilderness Studios, we have created a space that brings together people who shape sound and music culture.”
beyerdynamic is currently planning various collaborations with international artists, producers and well-known personalities from the industry, working closely with Felix Brunhuber and Florian Fellier from Wilderness Studios, who got the project off the ground. Brunhuber and Fellier firmly believe that great things can emerge from the Infinity Studio: “We have been working with international artists and creatives for more than ten years, and we have learnt one thing: the right environment can shape a creative process just as much as the people within it.”
The Infinity Studio is set to open in December 2026.
