Bjooks “Miniweek”

BJOOKS Minimoog prototype

To celebrate the Moogseum’s exhibit of four original Minimoog prototypes in Asheville, North Carolina, Bjooks’ PATCH & TWEAK Club is hosting Miniweek, a five-day online event exploring the legacy, design, and cultural influence of one of the most iconic synthesizers ever made. “Miniweek” will feature a daily curated collection of Minimoog-inspired content now live at: patchandtweak.com/minimoog/. The page features sound design tips, artist stories, historical spotlights, and inspirational insights.

Throughout Miniweek (November 12–16), the PATCH & TWEAK Club will publish a series of exclusive features exploring the history, sound, and influence of the Minimoog, and how it continues to inspire new generations of synthesists, producers, and sound designers.

Each evening at 7 PM CET, a new story will go live on the PATCH & TWEAK Minimoog page, including:

  • The Legacy of the Minimoog: Tracing the instrument’s impact and Cherry Audio’s Miniverse tribute.
  • First Man on the Moog: John Bowen: Celebrating the designer and musician who helped shape the Minimoog sound.
  • Fly Me to the Moog: Artist Wendy Uribe’s playful and poetic Minimoog tributes on Instagram.
  • Space Travels: Sun Ra and the Model B: How the Minimoog fueled Afrofuturist soundscapes.
  • Klaus Schulze: German Kosmische Warrior: Honoring the late pioneer of electronic and cosmic music.
  • The week-long celebration aligns with the Moogseum’s “Minimoog Prototype Exhibit” (November 14–16), organized by the Bob Moog Foundation in partnership with the
  • Museum of Music Technology (MMT), marking the 55th anniversary of the first Minimoog shipment in 1970.

The celebration is complemented by Bjooks’ latest release, The Minimoog Book, a richly detailed tribute to the world’s most iconic synthesizer. Authored by JoE Silva, the book chronicles the instrument’s fascinating history, groundbreaking design, and enduring cultural influence. Through vivid photography, artist stories, and insights from the engineers who brought it to life, The Minimoog Book captures the essence of a true musical revolution.

As part of the celebration, author JoE Silva will appear in person at the Moogseum throughout the weekend to sign copies and meet visitors. The book features exclusive photography of the very prototypes on display, rare archival materials, and firsthand stories from engineers, artists, and innovators who helped make the Minimoog a household name in electronic music.

“Miniweek is both a celebration and a bridge that connects the original Minimoog’s groundbreaking spirit to the vibrant synthesis community of today,” said Kim Bjørn, founder of Bjooks and PATCH & TWEAK Club. “With the Moogseum’s exhibit, JoE Silva’s incredible book, and the stories we’re sharing, we’re honoring not just an instrument, but an entire movement in sound and imagination.”

Miniweek also highlights Cherry Audio’s Miniverse, a faithful virtual re-creation of the classic Minimoog, which has become a favorite among modern producers for its authentic tone and design. PATCH & TWEAK Club members can access an exclusive Miniverse offer during the celebration week.

“Our communities overlap in the best possible way,” says Kim Bjørn, founder of Bjooks. “The PATCH & TWEAK Club helps people understand synthesis deeply. Not just how instruments work, but how to play and think with sound. Cherry Audio’s synthesizer plugins are perfect companions in that journey, honoring iconic designs while making them more accessible than ever.”
