Mayer EMI Vibes Connect
MAYER EMI today announced the release of VibesConnect, a browser-based user interface that significantly expands the capabilities of the Vibes MD850 SynthStation. VibesConnect connects the device directly to a computer or tablet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet - no additional drivers, no USB cables needed. Furthermore, the user interface has been designed to be highly attractive, making the control of the Vibes MD850 SynthStation an even greater aesthetic pleasure than before.
There’s no need to install new software on your computer or open a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Any standard, common web browser provides the necessary software framework. VibesConnect enables the convenient control of the Clip Launcher, the creation and editing of sequences, and the easy exchange of files. This effectively transforms the device into a SynthStation in DAW Mode: a self-contained production and performance tool that combines studio workflows with the independence of dedicated hardware.
Updates are displayed directly in the browser and can be applied to the device with a single button press. In the future, VibesConnect will also open new opportunities for collaborative music-making, allowing SynthStation users to exchange sounds, performances, and other data with each other much more easily.
VibesConnect enables live musicians to establish a seamless and intuitive workflow from sound design in the studio to live performance with the Vibes MD850 SynthStation. In the studio, users benefit from the comfort and connectivity of a computer. On stage, the Vibes MD850 SynthStation is fully standalone and can be connected to other equipment or serve as the center of a larger setup where multiple devices are linked together.
With the Vibes MD850, Mayer EMI has created a new category of device. The name "SynthStation" was chosen because the unit offers a vast array of features, making it significantly more than just a "synthesizer" or expander. The Vibes MD850 SynthStation can truly be considered a 4-devices-in- one-box solution. In addition to the 4-part multitimbral powerful true stereo synth-engine (the synthesizer), users also have access to
- a Drum Machine,
- a Digital Mixer, and
- a user-friendly Sequencer/Clip Launcher - which can also be controlled browser-based in DAW Mode.
VibesConnect will be available as a free update starting October 15, 2025, for everyone who has already purchased a Vibes MD850 SynthStation. Naturally, VibesConnect will also be an integrated component of all Vibes MD850 SynthStations sold from October 15, 2025, onward.
