Roland BOSS Effects Pedals New

Roland announces the latest update for the BOSS Effects Pedals plug-in, a powerful software-based effects suite available exclusively on Roland Cloud. The BOSS Effects Pedals plug-in brings the authentic BOSS compact pedal experience to computer music production, delivering premium processing for guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, and beyond. The current BOSS Effects Pedals library features 16 of the most famous BOSS pedals. This new update adds the DM-2, OD-2, and DC-2, bringing the total to 19. The core library will continue to be populated with an ever-expanding selection of models derived from the historic hardware lineup.

A longtime player’s favorite, the DM-2 was the first BOSS analog delay in the compact pedal lineup. Its retro BBD circuit produces lush delays that become more saturated with each repeat, creating organic ambience that blends beautifully with the unprocessed sound. Turning up the Intensity knob drives the effect into gritty self-oscillation for expressive textures.

The OD-2 is a highly versatile overdrive pedal with two distinctly different sounds. The standard mode produces a mild, well-defined overdrive with a sweet character. Switching on Turbo mode activates an independent drive circuit with higher gain and increased presence, ideal for playing heavy riffs and solos.

The DC-2 was born by adapting the rack-based Roland SDD-320 Dimension D into a compact pedal for guitars and other mono instruments. While it adds depth and spaciousness like a chorus, the unique Dimension effect produces minimal modulation, creating a three-dimensional character while preserving the instrument’s natural tone.

The BOSS Effects Pedals plug-in is now available with Roland Cloud Ultimate membership, which users can try for free with a 30-day all-access trial. A free Roland Account provides access to a function-limited demo version for evaluating the plug-in without requiring a membership.
