Tascam announces that its Sonicview digital mixing consoles are now fully compatible with the popular Mixing Station app. This provides users with an additional option for controlling the consoles remotely from mobile devices, in addition to the in-house Sonicview Control app. The integration opens up new possibilities for live concerts, discussion events, and other demanding environments.
Mixing Station enables musicians and sound engineers to control their monitor mixes wirelessly using smartphones or tablets. This speeds up sound checks, increases efficiency, and improves the experience for everyone on stage and behind the console during performances.
The Ember+ protocol, introduced in Sonicview firmware v2.2, can address up to 12 Mixing Stations simultaneously, offering scalable control options for small to mid-sized productions. Users can quickly and easily adjust levels, EQ, aux sends and more from their own devices and monitor them in real time. Setup is straightforward, requiring only a network connection to the console and no additional hardware.
