Tascam announces the RX-BT10MKII, the second generation of its professional stereo Bluetooth receiver designed for commercial AV installations, conference facilities, hospitality and educational environments as well as other mobile or installed sound reinforcement systems. The “Mark Two” model introduces the ability to customise the Bluetooth device name using the Tascam “Bluetooth Name Editor” software. This makes it easier for users to identify the correct receiver in facilities with multiple installed units. Each receiver also features its own unique Bluetooth identification for simplified device management.
Support for Bluetooth 5.1 (Class 1) is one of the key features of the RX-BT10MKII. It enables stable connections over long distances of up to 100 metres. Ideal when installing the unit in a utility room, both the antenna and the Bluetooth pairing button can be extended to be placed in a convenient location.
The receiver’s output options include balanced XLR connectors as well as unbalanced RCA jacks. There’s also a stereo/mono switch for preserving the stereo field of the source material or for mono summing, if desired. The RX-BT10MKII includes mounting points for versatile installation and a bracket kit for shelf or under-desk mounting. Tascam also offers the optional AK-RS1, a kit for mounting two units side by side in a 19-inch rack.
