NoiseWorks Audio Mouth De-Click

NoiseWorks MouthDeNoise

Noiseworks Audio, developer of the AI-powered vocal and dialogue processing plugin VoiceAssist, has today announced two updates. A Mouth De-Click feature is being added to VoiceAssist, and VoiceAssist Basic is now available free to all users of Universal Audio's LUNA recording system.

Mouth clicks are small, sharp transients that occur between words, often caused by saliva, dry lips, or tongue movement. They are easy to overlook initially and time-consuming to remove manually throughout a vocal or dialogue take. Mouth De-Click automatically detects and reduces these clicks across the recording, preserving consonants and the natural quality of the voice.

Three controls give engineers room to tune the result. Sensitivity sets how aggressively clicks are detected and reduced. Detection HP is a high-pass filter on the detection stage, so raising it focuses detection on higher-frequency transients and leaves lower-frequency content alone. A dedicated automation lane for Sensitivity lets engineers vary the amount of reduction over the timeline, which matters when one section of a take is cleaner than another.

Mouth De-Click is free for all VoiceAssist Advanced users. For all users who have already trialled the Advanced version, the trial has been reset so they can test the new Mouth Click module in VoiceAssist Advanced. VoiceAssist Basic is now available at no cost to all Universal Audio LUNA users. Current and future LUNA users will automatically receive a licence. VoiceAssist Basic includes the VoiceAssist levelling engine, which analyses the entire recording before making adjustments. It generates editable automation rather than real-time gain changes, resulting in smoother, more transparent outcomes than traditional gain riders. The licence includes an upgrade path. Users receive a 10% discount when upgrading to the Standard or Advanced tier, which adds AI gating, breath control, de-essing, denoising, de-reverb, and low-end restoration.

Both updates are available from 23 June 2026 at the website below.
